Mia Gomez Montero

Mia Gomez Montero is a New York City–based theatre maker, actor, singer, and dancer. A proud Hispanic Jersey girl, she began her training at Paper Mill Playhouse and the New Jersey School of Ballet before earning dual B.A.s in Theatre Studies and English from Penn State University.

Mia holds an M.A. in Musical Theatre from the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama and has trained internationally at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art. Her work across the U.S. and U.K. spans performance, directing, choreography, and arts education, with a particular passion for storytelling through movement, music, and collaboration. She is drawn to stories that explore culture, identity, family, and humor, and brings curiosity, warmth, and creative rigor to every project.

Rooted in her Spanish-American heritage, Mia is passionate about creating work that celebrates connection, individuality, and the joy of being a little bit weird. When she isn't making theatre, you'll likely find her with a good book, a cup of tea, or a plate of paella surrounded by the people she loves.
